The basement will need to have its own purifier. Contaminants and odors which are emitted from the basement will have a tendency to rise upwards, so a purifier in the basement will eliminate the contaminants and/or odors at their point of origin. A light commercial unit such as the 3000XG3 may be required to handle the contaminant load of a basement.
Another purifier may need to be placed upstairs to receive coverage in the remainder of your home.
